MWLUG 2013 Announcement, August 21-23, 2013

Planning MWLUG 2013 has been a chore. We could not get a hotel in Indianapolis Downtown for our original dates of August 14 through 16, 2013. GENCON is going on. However, we were able to get a new date and location for MWLUG 2013. We are happy to announce that MWLUG 2013 will be held at the historic Crowne Plaza Downtown - Union Station in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, August 21-23, 2013. This hotel was originally the first Union Station in the United States and is a beautiful hotel similar to the William Penn Hotel that we were in last year, but in some way more grandeur. The Crowne Plaza is currently being renovated so it will be exciting to see how it looks. We have obtained special rates for MWLUG attendees which we will be announcing.

Below is a picture of the Grand Hall Ballroom for which MWLUG 2013 Opening Session and Exhibitor Showcase will be held. If you are interested, in sleeping in an entire Pullman train car as shown below during MWLUG 2013, here is your chance. The MWLUG 2013 web site is now up and running. We have planned a few surprises for this year and yes, we will not have the crazy code word contest like last year. But we have have something else in mind. So if you are looking for a first-class Lotus User Group conference to build your social network and knowledge, MWLUG 2013 is the conference for you. Hope to see everyone at MWLUG 2013.

The HTML page could be created on the server and then pushed out. It could be static with the data generated on the page by the server with JavaScript, providing a more dynamic experience, or the server could generate new HTML content to update portions of the web page. XPages or PHP are good examples of this. Another method is to have the web page partially generated by the server and have JavaScript build the rest of the HTML by pulling data from the server via an API.
